Robert Smith

Robert Wesley Smith, Jr., 83, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Windsor House. He was born May 9, 1930, in Pauline, SC, to the late Robert Wesley Smith, Sr. and Pauline Bullman Smith and was married to the late Sarah Belle Neely Smith. He was retired after 25 years of service with Devoe Paint and later retired from Phillips Delivery. Survivors include a daughter, Janet K. Smith; a grandson, Caleb S. Smith; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Jaxson Smith, all of Spartanburg; a sister, Nettie Hawkins of Woodruff; and a niece, Diane Sims, who was raised in the home. He was predeceased by a sister, Margie Wollard. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Chaplain Dean Cortese. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
