Robert Waldrop

Robert Duffie Waldrop, 70, died Friday, September 20, 2013, at his home. He was born December 24, 1942, in Spartanburg, and was the husband of the late Betty Posey Waldrop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War, a former employee of Pike Electric, Past Commander of VFW Post 9539, member of American Legion Post 28, and a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans. He attended West Springs Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, September 23, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Graveside services, conducted by the Rev. Alan Leonard and Chaplain Cindy Adair Inman, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church Street Extension, Roebuck, SC 29376. VFW Post 9539 will be performing full military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334.
