Robert Threadgill

Robert Dennis Threadgill, 69, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born September, 24, 1940, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Gary and Ella Murph Threadgill. He was the owner of Threadgill's True Value Hardware in Cowpens and of the Baptist faith. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Corrie Patricia Osment Threadgill; three sons, Jerry Wayne Threadgill of Gaffney, Robert Dennis Threadgill, Jr. and wife Jo Ann, and Darrell Ray Threadgill and wife Kimberly, all of Spartanburg; a daughter, Donna T. Millwood and husband Douglas of Spartanburg; eight grandchildren, Trey, Keilah, Jedidiah, Jacob, Blake, Dillon, Dakota, and Bailey; four great-grandchildren, Robbie, Kylie, Mallory, and Hannah; four brothers, John Gary, Charles Albert, Joe Brown, and Zyrah; and two sisters, Iris and Mable. He was predeceased by a brother, Winfred; and two sisters, Tweet and Ruth. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dennis Spencer and the Rev. Charles Hall. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
