Robert Summers

Robert "Bob" John Summers, 82, of California Avenue, died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC. Born October 11, 1927, in Bowman, SC, he was the son of the late David and Hattie Hutchins Summers and husband of the late Zora Elizabeth Summers. He was the owner of Summers Body Shop, a Veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps serving in World War II, a member of the VFW, and of the Methodist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Pam Terry and her husband Marty of Spartanburg, and Libby Little and her husband Robert of Seneca; two grandsons, Joel Robertson and Mike Robertson; and six great-grandchildren, Whitney, Kaleb, Keli, Emily, Lila, and Audrey. He was predeceased by a son, Randy Summers. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
