Robert Solesbee

Robert A. Solesbee, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born February 26, 1928, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Jeff and Nellie Lewis Solesbee and husband of the late Elizabeth Sanders Solesbee. Robert was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. He retired from Spartan Mills and also worked for Kohler Company and Butte Knit. Survivors include a daughter, Monica "Monty" S. Moore and her husband Monte of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughters, Ashley Moore Jackson of Greer, SC, Rae Smith (Michael) of Anderson, SC, and Laurin Moore Keen of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandchildren, Jessica Holmes of Boiling Springs, SC, Cameron Holmes of Charleston, SC, Chandler Keen of Spartanburg, SC, and Addie Jackson of Greer, SC; sisters, Vera Brockman of Reidville, SC, Irene Settles of Landrum, SC, and Jackie Fowler of Spartanburg, SC; and brother, Gettis Solesbee of Landrum, SC. A celebration honoring his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306, by the Rev. Arthur Holt.
