Robert Schrimpf

Robert H. Schrimpf, 84, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 3, 1925 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Iba Leland and Annie Belle Clinkscales Schrimpf. He retired after thirty six years from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He was an active member of River Hills Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty one years, Betty Ellis Schrimpf; a son, Robert (Bobby) H. Schrimpf, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a daughter, Ruth Anne Schrimpf (George) Tuten of Evans, GA; four grandchildren, Robert Brian Schrimpf and William Matthew Schrimpf of Columbia, SC; Robert Edward Tuten of Augusta, GA; and Jeanna Elizabeth (Zac) Martin of Grovetown, GA; one step grandchild, Tara Tuten Langford of Stillwater, MN; and one great grandchild, Ellie Reese Martin. The family will receive friends at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel 7:00-9:00 PM Sunday, October 10, 2010. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, October 11, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kent Smith. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
