Robert Scott Plunkett, known to his loved ones as Scott, passed away suddenly on February 8,2024, in Moore, South Carolina. Born on August 2, 1964, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, to Ray Plunkett and Shirley Kiger, he led a remarkable life filled with love and dedication to his family.
Scott dedicated 20 years of his career to BMW Manufacturing. Although Scott had many accomplishments throughout his life, none were as cherished as his marriage to his beloved wife Sandy. Together they shared 29 years of unwavering love and stood as an example of true partnership and commitment.
Family meant everything to Scott. He could often be found enjoying quality time with his children and grandchildren, whom he adored wholeheartedly. Beyond his role as a loving husband and father, Scott was a friend to anyone he met. Scott had a diverse array of hobbies that brought him immense joy, such as fishing, woodworking, and listening to Elvis Presley's music.
Scott is survived by his devoted wife Sandy Plunkett, His sons: Jason Bromirski, Joshua Plunkett, Sam Plunkett, a daughter Rebecca Lane (Ashley), his mother Shirley Kiger, and father Ray Plunkett (Joan), a brother Randy Plunkett (April), a sister Trista Odom (Eric), six adoring grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews as well as in-laws. Scott was predeceased by a son, Joey Bromirski (Leah).
A visitation will be held on February 15, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary located at 235 North Church Street Spartanburg, South Carolina 29306. This will be followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm at the same location.
In this time of profound loss and grief, let us find solace in the memories we shared with Scott and comfort one another as we navigate this difficult journey together. May his soul rest in eternal peace knowing he was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
