Robert Wilson

Robert O. Wilson, 78, died Friday, December 24, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 7, 1932, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late James Oba and Maggie Virginia Collins Wilson. He was retired as Finance Manager at Midland Company, was of the Baptist faith, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Kathryn Irene Long Wilson; a son, David S. Wilson; and sisters, Louise W. Bradley, Dorothy W. Hipp, Jane Wilson, all of Spartanburg, and Elizabeth W. Mahaffey and husband Douglas of Wrens, GA. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bill Adams. Visitation will follow the service at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
