Robert Nelson Morrow, 83, of Pauline, SC, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 29, 1927 in Pauline, he was the son of the late Charlie Christopher and Lillian Aileen Sellars Morrow. He was retired from United Insurance Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran with a rank of Master Sergeant and served in the Korean War. In addition to his wife, Eloise Pettit Morrow, he is survived by two daughters, Melody Morrow Swink Gathright and husband Rodney and Robin Morrow Strickland and husband Kevin all of Inman; a grandson, Robert Steven Swink and wife Mandy of Boiling Springs; a granddaughter, Mara M. Strickland of Inman; three step grandsons, Michael, Joshua, and Andy Gathright of Inman; a great grandson Cole Swink of Boiling Springs; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles E. Morrow. The family wishes to give loving thanks to the special care giving angels, Meredith Ritchey and Debbie Ammons. Also, special thanks to the angels at Rachel's Pauline Café for their unending graciousness the last few years. Graveside services with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Joshua C. Jennings and the Rev. Charles M. Eaton. Visitation will follow the service in the Family Life Building. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9539, 325 Carolina Drive Extension, Roebuck, SC 29376 or to Glen Springs-Pauline Volunteer Fire Department, 3104 Highway 56, Pauline, SC 29374.
