Lt. Col. Robert C. Moran, USAF (Ret), 85, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, October 7, 2018, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born July 15, 1933, in Salinas, CA, he was the son of the late Anne Gillis Holliday. Devoted to his family, Lt. Col. Moran retired from the U. S. Air Force after 36 years of service as a Navigator having served during the Vietnam War, Cuban Missile Crisis, Belgian Congo Uprising, and others. He was very active in MOAA (Military Officers Association of America) and a skilled woodworker. One of his best qualities was his wicked sense of humor. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jeanette Mary LeBlanc Moran; children, Valerie M. Cowan of Spartanburg, SC, Christopher E. Moran (Donna) of Summerville, SC, and Robert S. Moran (Wanda) of Johns Creek, GA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Julie Moran of Watsonville, CA. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Friends are welcome to attend a committal service to be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, October 26, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with military honors provided by the U.
