Robert Mize

Robert Eugene Mize, 75, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home. Born July 6, 1946 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Edwin F. and Juanita Rainwater Mize.

A US Army veteran, Mr. Mize was retired from BASF Whitestone as a chemical operator. He loved to garden, plant flowers, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, a collector of old bottles, coins and clocks. He loved to watch TV land and old westerns, drive his ’84 blue Chevy truck and animals.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Wooten Mize, beloved daughter, Mary Melinda Mize Owens, his son, Jason E. Mize, his beloved grandchildren, Zak Steadman and Kailey Owens, several nieces and nephews, and his aunt.

His favorite verse is Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.”

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Brian Brown and Cardiology Consultants for their great care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local food bank or to plant a tree in his honor.

The family will be at their respective homes.
