Robert Medlock

Robert Vernon Medlock, 62, of Spartanburg, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born March 23, 1949, in El Paso, TX, he was the son of Elzie R. V. and Elizabeth Joiner Mabry Medlock. Mr. Medlock was a retired veteran of the U. S. Navy and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Sherry Shaffer Medlock, of the home; a daughter, Claudia Beard of Simpsonville; sons, Richard Medlock of Spartanburg, Michael Medlock of Fairforest, and Paul Medlock of Spartanburg; six grandchildren; a brother, Garry Medlock of Inman; and a sister, Sharon Bobo of Boiling Springs. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Lake Bowen Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Williams. The family is at the home.
