Robert Mckinney

Robert J. “Buster” McKinney, 68, of Chesnee, SC died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 1, 1953 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Blondell "Bea" Frye and Howard Donald McKinney, Sr. and the husband of the late Judy R. Skipper McKinney.

Buster attended Spartanburg High School and was retired from Spartanburg Regional Hospital Transportation System. He was a devoted husband, who loved his family and friends. A selfless individual who never met a stranger, he would offer to help anyone in need. Buster was also very proud of his sobriety and a staunch supporter of NA.

Survivors include his son, Matthew McKinney (Casey) of Duncan, SC, his daughter, Jennifer Smith (Jeff) of Spartanburg, SC, his grandson, Hunter West, his granddaughter, Carsyn Smith, and his niece, Maisie Revis (Mikey) of Spartanburg, SC. He was predeceased by his brother, Butch McKinney.
