Robert Mabry Jr.

Robert "Bob" Mabry, Jr., 81, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 21, 1939 in the Cannons Campground Community, he was a son of the late Robert Mabry, Sr. and Laura Seagle Mabry. He was married to the late Norma Jean Henderson Mabry. He was a member of Cannons Camp Ground United Methodist Church and attended Cherokee Springs Baptist Church. Bob was retired after 23 years from Draper Corporation and later from Union Camp. Surviving is a son, Robbie Mabry (Michelle) of Cannons Campground community; a daughter, Starr Benson of Spartanburg; and five grandchildren, Dusty Mabry (Becky) of Easley, Clay Mabry, Cody Mabry, and Jaxon Smith, all of Spartanburg, and Mercedes Bailey Hill (Johnathan) of Cliffside, NC; 4 great-grandchildren, Tucker, Aiden, Lilleigh, and Easton; 3 cherished nieces, Tammy, April and Laurie, and a beloved granddog, Bubba. He was predeceased by a daughter, Gena Bailey; and a sister, Libby Mabry Floyd (Mitchell). The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Cherokee Springs Baptist Church, 2699 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Ron Culbertson and the Rev. Belton Drake. The family is at the home of Cody Mabry, 307 Enola Station Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
