Robert Lee

Robert Brooks Lee, 92, of Autumn Care Nursing Home, Saluda, NC, and formerly of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born November 20, 1917, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Benny Tillman and Elvira Thompson Lee and the husband of the late Lucille Burgess Lee. He was employed at Raycord Shirt Manufacturing and later at S&S Manufacturing. He was a member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church and an avid fisherman. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Lee and wife Carolyn of Inman, and Stephen Lee of Sacramento, CA; a daughter, Lou Ann Caldwell and husband Steve of Spartanburg; a brother, Douglas Lee of Spartanburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Edith Smith; and a brother, Hugh Lee. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Cedar Spring Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Todd Lowe.
