Robert Wilson "Wick" Harrison, 82, formerly of Roebuck, SC and recently a resident of RoseCrest in Inman, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born May 7, 1931, in the Walnut Grove area of Spartanburg County, he was the son of LouVennie Harrison and grandson of Spartanburg County Constable Frank T. Harrison and Olevia "Levie" Harrison. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Harrison was also a graduate of Kings Business College and he retired from South Carolina National Bank after a 30 year career. He was the last surviving founder of the Roebuck Volunteer Fire Department and a lifetime member of the Roebuck Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jo Epting Harrison; one daughter, Susan (William Marshall) of Newberry, SC; two sons, Bobby Harrison of Woodruff, SC, and Phillip Harrison (Cathy) of Lancaster, SC; one sister, Frances Hyatt of Tryon, NC; five grandchildren, Robert, Holly, Jennifer, Rebecca, and Adam; and two great-grandchildren, Karris and Liam. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Roebuck Baptist Church, 1979 E. Blackstock Rd., Roebuck, SC 29376, by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams. Visitation will follow the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
