Robert Clinton Fleming, of Campobello, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Hot Springs, NC, he was the son of the late Richard Howard and Essie Stewart Fleming. He was retired from Spartan Mills. He was of the Baptist faith and a big animal lover. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda Kay Lancaster Fleming; a son, Jimmy Fleming and his wife Rose of Cowpens; two nieces, Tammy Simmons of Spartanburg, and Chasity Wilson of Hickory Tavern; two sisters, Catherine Crowe of Wellford, and Helen Laws of Enoree; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Jeff Brown. Memorials may be made to the Children's Advocacy Center, P. O. Box 6007, Spartanburg, SC 29304; or to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
