Robert Daugherty

Robert T. Daugherty, 93, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Palmetto Patriots Home. Born May 25, 1929 in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of the late George Hardy and Ollie Lela Greene Daugherty and the husband of the late Nancy Juanita Thomas Daugherty

A US Air Force veteran, Mr. Daugherty was retired from Welders Supply. Robert was a member of Cowpens First Baptist Church. He loved the USC Gamecocks, Atlanta Braves and Miami Dolphins.

Robert was devoted to his family and loved to spend time with them, especially his grandchildren. He always had a dog by his side. In his earlier days, he enjoyed riding motorcycles.  His hobbies were to garden, hunt and fish.

Survivors include his children, Debbi Acuna (Pablo) of Roebuck, SC and Robbie Daugherty (Kathy) of Willow Spring, NC; grandchildren, Zach Daugherty (Misty) of Willow Spring, NC and Alyse Acuna-Collins (Shane) of Cowpens, SC and Haley A. Watson (Jay) of Irmo, SC; great grandchildren, Nathan Daugherty, Gabe Daugherty, Benaiah Daugherty, and Emery Watson; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He was also predeceased by siblings, George Daugherty, Virginia Giles and Imogene Bailey.

Graveside service will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 28, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Wofford Caughman. Visitation to follow.
