Robert Wade Crain, 79, of Inman, SC died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home. Born December 24, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Lafoy James and Edna Hines Crain. A U.S. Air Force Veteran and Eagle Scout, Mr. Crain was a retired Chief Accessor of the Spartanburg County Appraisers Office. He liked acquiring real estate and was a real adventurist having parachuted within the last two years. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Brenda Joy Hopper Crain; grandsons, Chad Hamrick, Joseph Lee Craig (Leanne), Lyle Daniel Walker; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Faith Hunter (Greg); ten great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Crain of Oregon and son-in-law, Keith O. Loveland. He was predeceased by daughters, Teresa Lynn Epley Loveland and Myra Denise Epley Walker and brothers, Perry Lafoy Crain and Roger Dale Crain. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:15 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306, with services following at 2:30 PM in the Chapel conducted by Mr. David Epley. Burial with military rites will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
