Robert Kenneth "Ken" Collins, 90, of Woodruff, SC, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 28, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Royce J. and Lois Robertson Collins. A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Collins was a graduate of Fairforest High School, attended Clemson University, and retired from teaching at R. D. Anderson Vocational School. Ken was a lifetime member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher, and as chairman of the Cemetery Committee. He was also a former member of the Westview Ruritan Club. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Virginia Alice Edge Collins; son, Stephen R. Collins (Susan) of Woodruff, SC; grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Collins (Emily); and great-grandchildren, Madison, Holly, and Bryce Collins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Rev. Donald Collins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2018, at Nazareth Presbyterian Church, by The Rev. Mrs. Julie Schaaf with visitation following the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 680 Nazareth Church Road, Moore, SC 29369.
