Robert Glenn Champion, 77, of Spartanburg, passed away October 7, 2022, at Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Born September 7, 1945, in Avondale, NC, a son of the late Robert and Odessa Watson Champion, he was the husband of Faye Moore Champion for 38 years.
Glenn was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked with Hoechst Celanese as a control room operator.
Survivors include his wife, Faye; children, Richard Glenn Champion (Linda) of Chesnee, Michelle Macom of Spartanburg, and Jim Macom (Casey) of Spartanburg; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Edward Champion of Spartanburg and Norma Attaway of Spartanburg. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by Nadine Ruff and Wayne Champion.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Brother Fred Dover.
