Rita Riffenburg

Rita Amelia Edelston Riffenburg, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at White Oak Estates. Born March 11, 1935 in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Sophie Benson Edelston.

Rita was a former member of Temple B’Nai Israel.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Raymond Edward Riffenburg, Jr. of the home; their son, Michael A. Riffenburg (Janetta) of Moore, SC; five grandchildren: Jason (Danielle) Riffenburg of Tampa, FL, Eric Riffenburg (Kelly) of Columbia, SC, Scott Riffenburg (Juliet) of Phoenix, AZ, Sean Riffenburg (Ashlee) of Phoenix, AZ and Casey Riffenburg (Kallie) of Phoenix, AZ; 14 great grandchildren; her sister, Ann Benton of California; and daughter-in-law, Karen Riffenburg of Phoenix, AZ. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Paul Edward Riffenburg and her sister, Sheila Applebaum.
