Ricky Wayne Everhart, 69, of Chesnee, died Thursday, October 26,2023, at Brookview Healthcare Center. A native of Gaffney, he was born on April 8, 1954, a son of the late Tony and Doris Bryant Everhart.
He was the owner operator of Ricky’s Automatic Transmission Repair Company, first starting in the Cannons Campground Community and then on North Church Street in Spartanburg. He was a member of Cherokee Springs United Methodist Church, member of the motorcycle club “The Shop”, loved drag racing, flying airplanes and remote airplanes, loved the beach, fishing and traveling.
Surviving is his wife, Mary McClain Everhart; stepson, Jason Bowman; brother, Tim Everhart; sister, Roxanne Hawkins; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Eddie Perry and Mark Smithling. He was predeceased by a brother, Tony Everhart.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC, 29307, conducted by the Rev. Mason Cantey and the Rev. Andrew Wolfe. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee Springs United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2870 Chesnee Hwy., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
