Ricky Charles

Ricky W. Charles, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home. Born January 10, 1953 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Jesse F. and Ruth Poole Charles.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Charles was retired from the military.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beth Thornton Charles of the home; sons, Jason C. Charles (Rose) of Yuma, AZ and Jeremy S. Charles (Laura) of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughters, Ashley Charles, Josephine Charles and Mia Charles; three great grandchildren; and his brother, Tim Charles (Kelly) of Redondo Beach, CA.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Gary Hensley. Entombment with Military Honors will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
