Richter Daniel

Richter A. "Rich" Daniel, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, July 8, 2016 at White Oak Manor. Born July 10, 1926 in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of Early Aubrey and Gracie Spencer Daniel. He was the widower of Hazel Everette Daniel. Rich was the owner of various small businesses in the Upstate. He was a deacon and dedicated member of Beaumont Baptist Church and was a member of Gideon's. He enjoyed traveling, camping, spending time with family and most importantly, studying the Word of God. For the past three years he resided at Windsor House West where he became known as "The Mayor." Survivors include a son, Larry Daniel (Ann) of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, James Daniel (Crystal) of Chesnee, SC; Chris Daniel of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Keisha Thornton (Jason) of Pauline, SC; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Nell Freshour of Greenville, SC. He was predeceased by a son, Roger Daniel; sisters, Dessie Cudd, Roberta Cook, Cornelia Scruggs; and a brother, Earl Daniel. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 11, 2016 at Boiling Springs First Baptist Cemetery, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, conducted by the Rev. John Cox and the Rev. Rupert Guest. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family will be at the home of Larry and Ann Daniel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P.O.
