Richard Weber

Richard David Weber "Dickie" of Cowpens entered into eternal rest on January 26, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Mr. Weber was born on April 28, 1936 to the late Troy and Anna Vinsett Weber, and predeceased by an infant son, Richard David Weber, II. Mr. Weber was a member of First Baptist Church of Cowpens and a graduate of Cowpens High School. Dickie retired from Spartanburg Water as Superintendent of Maintenance at R. B. Sims Filtration Plant after 30 years of dedicated service. In addition to his loving wife Judy of 53 years, Dickie is survived by his children, Teresa Henry, Marianna Hatchell, Julie Alfred and her husband, Byl, and David Weber and his wife, Shannon, all of Cowpens. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Weber and his wife, Betty, and sisters, Betty Crow of Cowpens, and Patsy Woodward of Spartanburg, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Dickie will be missed by his family and friends who depended on his teaching, expertise, guidance, and love. Visitation will be 1:30 - 2:45 PM, Monday, January 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Cowpens. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Dr. Bill Westafer. Burial will follow in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery Street, Cowpens, S.C. 29330. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Cowpens Family Life Center Kitchen Fund, 108 W Church Street, Cowpens, S.C. 29330. The family will be at the home.
