Richard Strasser

Richard Strasser, 67, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at his home. Born September 8, 1944, in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late Karl Lenard and Hazel Arden McEachern Strasser. Mr. Strasser was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired as Director of Corporate Communication from Milliken & Company after 30 years of service, was formerly employed with Belue Trucking and presently employed by Swift Trucking as an instructor. He was a member of the Vietnam War Veterans of Spartanburg, American Legion, and lifetime member of Harley Owners Group. Surviving are his wife, Dawn G. Strasser; sons, Wayne Strasser and wife Michelle, Heath Strasser, and Tarl Strasser; grandchildren, Tyler Strasser, Alex Strasser, Brittany Dalton, and Kayla Dalton; and brother, Stephen Strasser. He was predeceased by a son, Levy Dalton; and a brother, Joseph Strasser. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of his son, Tarl Strasser, 208 Kenneth Drive, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
