Richard Poole

Richard F. Poole, 71, of Moore, died Saturday, August 1, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 26, 1938, in Decatur, GA, he was the son of the late Harold Bernard and Margaret Louise Lewis Poole. He was a pharmacist with Carolina Upstate Pharmacy at Gibbs Cancer Center and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Fleming Poole; two sons, Richard Andrew Poole and his wife Wendy of Columbia, and Edward Bernard Poole of Spartanburg; a daughter, Crystal Renee Poole-Wolov and her husband Kevin of Philadelphia, PA; a grandson, Justin Andrew Poole of Atlanta, GA; and a granddaughter, Cassidy Jade Poole of Travelers Rest. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Bethlehem Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. James L. Oliver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376. The family is at the home.
