Richard Finch

Richard Elliott Finch, 73, of Campobello, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Restorative Care. Born January 19, 1938, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Morris Judson and Era Leona Davis Finch. Richard retired from the City of Spartanburg after 28 years of service as a fireman. He also retired from Sears and was a member of Landrum United Methodist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Maxine Splawn Finch; a son, Timothy P. Finch and his wife Alice of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Pamela K. Finch Prevatte and her husband Bobby of Spartanburg; a sister, Ann Finch Bishop of Greenville; a very special grandson, Jacob Page "Jake" Prevatte; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 12:00-1:45 PM Friday, April 22, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jane Jenkins. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
