Richard Drennan

Richard A. Drennan, 72, of Inman, SC, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC. Born August 27, 1945, in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Rev. Bernard Smith Drennan and Nellie Mae Hewitt Drennan. A U. S. Marine veteran who served in Vietnam, Mr. Drennan enjoyed playing golf and going to flea markets. He was retired from McDonnell Douglas. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sandra Norris Drennan; sons, Rick Drennan (Kim) of Lexington, SC and Robby Drennan (Sarah) of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Adelaide Drennan and Patrick Drennan; and sister, Betsy Gordon of Kingstree, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John Drennan. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A memorial service, with military rites, will follow at 11:00 AM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David F. Ervin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charles George VA Medical Center, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805. The family is at the home of Sandra Drennan.
