Richard Blalock

Richard “Rick” Lee Blalock, 65, of Chesnee, SC died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 18, 1956 in Sylacauga, AL, he was the son of Carl Max and Emmeline Knoedler Blalock of Spartanburg, SC.

Rick attended Spartanburg Community College. He was a member of Valley Falls Free Will Baptist Church.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlotte Easler Blalock of Chesnee, SC, his sons, Daniel Blalock and Nathan Blalock, both of Chesnee, SC, his daughter, Christie Jackson (Cale) of Inman, SC, his five grandchildren, Lane Jackson, Isaac, Bella, Maggie and Killian Blalock. He was predeceased by his beloved chihuahua, Toby.

Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:30 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 635 Mt. Pleasant Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM at the church, conducted by The Rev. Michael Boyter. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
