Richard Duane "Hank" Bennett II, 18, of 106 Forestview Drive, died Saturday, February 27, 2010, at his home. Born May 24, 1991, in Chester, SC, he was the son of Helen Glynn Henderson Bennett and the late Richard Duane Bennett. He was a member of Spartanburg First Church of the Nazarene. Surviving in addition to his mother is a sister, Jordan Bennett of the home; maternal grandparents, David and Mildred Henderson of Chester; paternal grandparents, Beau and Mary Bennett of Chester; and paternal grandmother, Virginia Baxter of Amsterdam, MO. Visitation will be 10:00-11:45 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Spartanburg First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Church conducted by the Rev. Tim Haynes and Rev. John Porter. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Trevor Dimsdale, Colton Avery Dimsdale, Preston Dimsdale and B.J. Sigafoos. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg First Church of the Nazarene Memorial Roll, 9149 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29316; or to McCarthy-Tezler School, 175 Burdette Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
