Richard Wayne Baker, Jr.

Richard Wayne Baker, 39, of Spartanburg, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at his home.  He was born May 27, 1984, in Murrells Inlet, SC, and was a son of Catherine (Cathy) Wilson Baker and the late Richard Wayne Baker.

Richard was the proud owner of Baker’s Detailing and Baker’s Kart Company. He brought out the fun in everyone and lived life to the fullest and was a friend to all.  He was a loving father, son, and brother.

Richard is survived by his children, Madison and Kaden Baker (Tara);  fiancée, Kimberly Wilson, (children, Cameron and Brilynn); sisters, Allison Mossburg (Gary) and Lana Green (Michael); brother, Christian Baker (Michelle); one niece and seven nephews; brother-in -law, Barry Duncan; and his dog, Cain. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Candice Duncan.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.  Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, June 9, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC  29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richard W. Baker Fund, c/o Christian Baker, 151 Coleman Court, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
