Rheba May Turnage Walsh, 70, of Cowpens, SC, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital, after her brave fight against leukemia. Born August 21, 1946 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Elmer E. Turnage and Aileen H. Turnage. She leaves behind three children, Tricia Fairbanks, Elizabeth Long, and Michael Walsh; her grandchildren, Heather, Nicole, Holly, Joseph, Sarah, Taylor and Carly; as well as her great-grandchildren, Kylie and Cora, were a true blessing to her. Rheba will always hold a special place in the hearts of her brother and sisters, Ivan Turnage, M.T. Myers, Patricia Hill, and Ann Turnage. She is known for her love of reading, enthusiasm for sports, and the ability to use humor when confronting life's challenges. God, my Lord, is my strength; He makes my feet swift as those of hinds and enables me to go upon the heights. Habakkuk 3:19- "This scripture is one of so many that speaks to me personally, I have no memory of being able to run; but every time I read this I am transported to a mountain meadow where I am running with joy and abandonment and praising God".
