Rev. Terry Wilson, 63, of Spartanburg, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 12, 2012, at his home. Born July 22, 1949, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Harry Wilson and Mary Ann Whitworth. A U. S. Army veteran, Rev. Wilson was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church, a minister in Spartanburg County, and a former Chaplain for Cowpens Fire Department and Cowpens Police Department. He was a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. Surviving are his beloved wife of more than 35 years, Bobbie Raines Wilson; sons, Don Merritt of Greenville, and Chris Wilson and wife Carrie of Pacolet; grandchildren, Taylor Merritt, Allyson Merritt, and Harrison Lee Wilson; brothers, Harry Wilson of Easley, Donnie Wilson of Pickens, and Mark Wilson of Easley; sisters, Belinda Adcock of Spartanburg, and Cindy Wilson of NC. Visitation will be 2:00-3:30 PM Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Pacolet Mills Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Ron Culbertson, the Rev. Eddie Mattison, and the Rev. Benny Green. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Terry Wilson Memorial Fund, PO Box 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
