Rev. Steadman

Rev. Woodrow Edward Steadman, 77, of Roebuck, SC, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 25, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Boyce Lee and Nellie Ruth Henson Steadman, and husband of the late Rosie Lee Stevenson Steadman. Rev. Steadman was the senior pastor and founder of Full Salvation Church of the Living God and began serving in the ministry in 1957. In his younger years, he worked at Ligons Drug Store until it closed. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School Class of 1955. Survivors include his children, James A. Steadman of Lavergne, TN, Kathy E. Pridmore (Ricky, Sr.) of Spartanburg, SC, and Mary Kendrick (Ron) of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Ricky Pridmore, Jr. (Ashley), Joel Pridmore, Scott Pridmore (Kristian), Brandon Pridmore, Brandon Steadman, and Nicholas Kendrick; brothers, Joe Steadman (Debra), Darrell Steadman, and Terry Steadman; and sisters, Mary Ruth Atkins, Gail Sprouse (Louie), and Kathy Rogers. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Donald Steadman; and grandchildren, Benjamin Kendrick and Rebecca Kendrick. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, April 3, 2014, at Full Salvation Church of the Living God, 920 S. River St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Clint Oglesby, the Rev. Eddie Brown, and the Rev. Kenneth Cash. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
