Rev. Jimmie Jackson Goble, 86, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Friday, March 17, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 31, 1931, in Rutherford County, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Nannie Estelle McDaniel Goble. A U. S. Army veteran, Rev. Goble was a member of Fingerville Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener, a member of the Hardee's Group on #9, and loved teaching the true word of God. He retired from Spector Red Ball Trucking Company after 37 years of service as a truck driver. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lena Burns Goble; daughters, Phoebe Bowlin (Jim) of Boiling Springs, SC and Pam Bohannon (William) of Winston-Salem, NC; grandsons, Mark Bohannon (Jennifer) of Wake Forest, NC, Matthew Bohannon (Michelle) of Clemmons, NC, Josh Robinson (Casi) of Inman, SC; sisters, Viola Tate of Forest City, NC and Sarah Hughes (Charles) of Forest City, NC; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303; and Fingerville Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 69, Fingerville, SC 29338.
