Rev. Doss

Rev. Ralph Judson Doss, 91, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, September 8, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 13, 1923, in Crumpler, WV, he was the son of the late Bige William Doss and Laura Lee Buchanan Doss and husband of the late Anna Lee Peacock Doss. A U. S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, Mr. Doss was a member of Valley Falls First Baptist Church, the American Legion Post #200, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3, and New Prospect Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his daughter, Carol Doss Haneline (Lynn) of Greer, SC; son, David R. Doss (Janet) of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Doss and Jacob Doss, both of Boiling Springs, SC; and sister, Thelma Bumgarner of Cartersville, GA. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by sisters, Opal Wade, Catherine Lambert, Juanita Hampton, Phyllis McGuire, Evelyn Doss, and Adrienne Hodges; and brother, Arthur James Doss. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, September 11, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher and the Rev. Roger McCullough. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
