Reverend Thomas George Daum, 90, of Clinton, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born November 12, 1926, in Marietta, GA, he was the son of the late Fred Hepner Daum and Gladys Hyer Daum. A graduate of Tech Military High School, Erskine College, and Erskine Seminary, he was also a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. Reverend Daum pastored churches in Troy, McCormick, Fort Mill, Greenwood, Newberry, and Roebuck. After retirement, he worked as an Activity Therapist at Whitten Center in Clinton, SC. Survivors include three children, Mrs. Luanne Crook (Mike), Mrs. Georgia Westmoreland (Douglas), David Thomas Daum, and their mother, Mildred Stockman Young. Mr. Daum was blessed with six grandchildren; and a precious companion of many years, Cecelia Bailey of Clinton, SC. A service honoring his memory will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Reverend Bob Neely. The family will receive friends following the chapel service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bush River Baptist Church, 8936 Bush River Road, Newberry, SC 29108; Bethlehem Baptist Church, 797 Old Georgia Road, Moore, SC 29369; or Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
