The Rev. Dr. Robert Sydney Cooper, 93 of Spartanburg, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at Martha Franks Retirement Home in Laurens, SC. He was the husband of the late Irene Nunn Cooper. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Martha Franks Retirement Home Chapel in Laurens. Visitation will be 9:00-10:15 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Martha Franks Retirement Center, 1 Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC 29360.
