Rebekah Anne Hall Malone, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born July 9, 1944 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Dean Hall and Frances Lowe Hall Leathers and was the wife of the late Joel Edward Malone, Sr.
A retired educator, Mrs. Malone was a Class of 1962 Spartanburg High School graduate, 1964 graduate of Virginia Intermont College and 1966 graduate of Winthrop University.
Anne taught at Evans Junior High School, Woodruff Junior High School, and Dorman High School. She was an avid reader who loved history and genealogy. Her most favorite thing was spending time with her family. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Malone (Elizabeth) of Decatur, GA; her son, Joel Malone Jr. (Scarlet) of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren, Hailey Malone, Camryn Malone, Emery Malone, Justin O’Connor, Daniel O’Connor, and Meredith O’Connor; four great grandchildren, Jake, Levi, Ella and Liam. She was predeceased by her brother, Harry Hall and her stepfather, John Andrew Leathers.
Visitation will be at 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Susannah Davis.
