Reba Affenit

Rebecca "Reba" Elizabeth Dobbins Affenit, 88, of Spindale, NC, formerly of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, September 30, 2013, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. Born March 2, 1925, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Spurgeon and Myrtle Skipper Dobbins, and wife of the late Vincent Affenit. Throughout her life, Mrs. Affenit resided in Spartanburg, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC, Boiling Springs, SC, Grayslake, IL, Winston Salem, NC, and Rutherfordton, NC. Reba is survived by her son, Richard Affenit of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Norris Dobbins of Rutherfordton, NC. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonita Quillen. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by the Rev. Mark Quillen. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family will receive friends at a reception, at the Chapel, following the interment.
