Raymond "Ray" Brown

Raymond E. “Ray” Brown, 81, of Roebuck, SC died Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home. Born June 19, 1940 in Pacolet, SC he was the son of the late Troy and Thelma Garner Brown, and the husband of the late Mary Weeks Brown.

A US Air Force veteran, Mr. Brown was retired from Xerox Corporation, and the owner of RE Brown Enterprises. He was a deacon at Boiling Springs Church of Christ.

Survivors include his son, George Brown (Patty) of Spartanburg, SC, his daughters, Susan Pople (Rory) of Portland, TN and Cathy Sater (Michael) of Maryville, TN, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and his sister, Joyce Sexton of Pacolet, SC. He was also predeceased by his brother, David Brown.

Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:30 PM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A funeral service will be 3:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by Mr. Michael Grooms and Elder Joe Mabry. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
