Raymond Eston Crocker, Jr., 64, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at home. Born September 30, 1957, in Spartanburg, he was son to the late Marguerite Briggs and Raymond Eston Crocker, Sr.
A loving, kind man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was “G-PawPaw” to his grandchildren, and they were all “George” to him. “Curious George” was their favorite show to watch together…He told them to “be curious!”
Always smiling and laughing, he was “Santa Claus” to many children and adults. One of his favorite things to do was spur of the moment picnics with family, and days on the lake. He loved to hike and camp with his family and friends.
Raymond was the “Big” Brother who looked after his siblings.
Raymond and Billie lived the vows they spoke to each other for 42 years, sharing their favorite verse, Ruth 1:16.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Billie Dover Crocker; children, Jessica Crocker, Joshua Crocker, and Joseph Crocker (Kristin); grandchildren, Lance, Bella, Diego, Javin, Kylie, Kyson, Liam, and Leigha; brothers, Bruce Spain Crocker, Louie Erving Crocker, and Pete Twyford Crocker (Tona); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Along with his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his siblings, David Lee Crocker, Elizabeth Crocker, and Virginia Ruth “Ginny” Crocker.
