Ray Davis

Ray Carol Davis, 74, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 29, 1943 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Joe Henry and Mabel Zelle Upton Davis. Ray was a local barber in the community for many years. He loved traveling and restoring cars. Survivors include his wife, Diane Davis; daughters, CaSandra Davis of Greenville, Kandice Petty of Inman, and Michelle Greenway; stepson, Sammy Goode (Darlene) of Boiling Springs; stepdaughters, Robin Hernandez (Max) and Candy Wood (Tommy) of Cowpens; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Willard Earl Davis of Chesnee, Joe E. Davis and Donald T. Davis, of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 12:00 - 1:45 PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Fairview Baptist Church, 1551 Bryant Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Ty Childers and the Rev. Mike Davis. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
