Ray Berry

Ray Edward Berry, 50, of 118 Branch Street, died Monday, February 8, 2010, at his home. Born May 6, 1959, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Mary Frances Swofford Berry of Spartanburg and the late William J. Berry. He was a welder and of the Baptist faith. Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his wife, Sheila Lynn Cooke Phillips-Berry; two daughters, Brea Marie Berry of Piedmont, and Shonna (Buddi) Parker of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Devin Ray Berry of Pacolet, and Mick Cherokee Phillips of Piedmont; three grandchildren; and numerous aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at Croft Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Joe Dempsey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ray Berry Memorial Fund, P. O. Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at their respective homes. The J. F.
