Randy Mabry

David Randall "Snake" Mabry, 62, of Cowpens, SC, loving husband, devoted father, and grandfather, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by his family at his home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Born November 21, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Norma Jean Whitaker Mabry of Cowpens, SC and the late Eugene Mabry. Randy was a hard working local truck driver for 45 years serving with Standard Trucking Company for 22 years and retired from USF Holland Trucking Company after 23 years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church Cowpens. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed camping and fishing. A member of Cowpens Bassmasters, he enjoyed fishing many tournaments with his son and daughter. He also loved working in the yard with his wife, washing cars and helping his family with many projects. Everything he did came from his heart. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sheila Patty Mabry of the home; son, Chris Mabry (Suzie); daughter, Mandy McQueen (Brian); three grandchildren: Ashley Mabry, Luke Mabry, and Promise Henry, all of Cowpens, SC; brothers, Mike Boodie Mabry (Jan) of Boiling Springs, SC and Larry Mabry (Doris) of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Bonnie Lollis of Cowpens, SC; and his two beloved dogs, Chopper and Daisy. He was predeceased by a brother, Rick Mabry. Visitation will be 2:00-3:30 PM Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Henry Coley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
