Ralph Parham

Ralph Aiken Parham, 85, of Spartanburg, died Friday, May 28, 2010 at his home. Born April 6, 1925 in Walnut Grove, he was the son of the late Joe Richard and Ettie Aiken Parham and was first married to the late Mary Elizabeth Clippard Parham for 39 years. He was retired Vice President and Sales Representative of J. W. Scott & Company and was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Mr. Parham was a member of St. John Masonic Lodge # 333, York Rite and Hejaz Shrine Temple in Greenville, and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He enjoyed family, church, Clemson football, gardening, and music. Survivors include his wife, Jean Maynor Bolton Parham; two daughters, Dianne P. Snelgrove and husband David L. of Greenville and Mary Ann P. Nunnery of Duncan; a son, Ralph E. "Eddie" Parham and wife Brenda P. of Atlanta, GA; step-children, Rebecca Bolton Wilson of Spartanburg, Kathy Bolton Severson of Daytona, FL, and Ricky Bolton of Chesnee; grandchildren, Haylee René Parham, and Brentton Edward Parham both of Atlanta, GA, and William Zachary Nunnery of Duncan; step-grandchildren, Mandy Lockwood, Chad Felment, and Kyle Mayners all of Daytona, FL, Dusty Bolton of Inman, Nicholas Bolton, Karmen Wilson, and LeAnna Wilson all of Spartanburg, and Clay Bolton of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren, Natalie MeKenna Parham and Hattie Carolina Ahmadi-Parham both of Atlanta, GA and Bailey Bolton of Spartanburg; a brother, Joe Parson Parham of Spartanburg and Ralph's beloved kitty cat, Lucy. Visitation will be 1:30-3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow 3:00 p.m. at the Church, conducted by Rev. D. J. Horton. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and Ronnie Wilson. Honorary Escort will be the Heaven Bound Sunday School Class.
