Radovan Stankovic, 85, of Cowpens, died Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones. A native of Voinica Oraovica, Yugoslavia, he was born on December 31, 1938, a son of the late Dragutin and Milojka Stankovic and the husband of 55 years to the late Kruna Stojanovic Stankovic.
He was formerly employed with Drayton Mill and retired from MPI-Southern Fineblanking, had served in the Yugoslavian Army and a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. He enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden, sharing them with family, friends, and neighbors.
Surviving is his son, Slobodan (Donnie) Stankovic (Daneca), and daughter, Suzie Mabry (Chris) both of Cowpens; grandchildren, Scott Stankovic of Irmo, Savannah Ecenbarger, Ashley Mabry and Luke Mabry all of Cowpens; great grandson, Micheal Ecenbarger, Christine Ecenbarger and Tucker Kreutzer.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 am Friday, January 19, 2024, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Geroge F. Nayfa. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church building fund, PO Box 1107, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
The family will be at their respective homes.
