Rachel Rodine Bogle Hobbs, 93, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Windsor House. Born July 5, 1918, in Carlisle County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Blanch Ellis Bogle, and wife of the late Cloys Arnold Hobbs. Mrs. Hobbs was an active member of Highpoint Baptist Church, Mayfield, KY. She traveled with her church on several overseas mission trips, as well as serving on mission trips within the U. S. She was a member of Graves County Homemakers, past-president of Mayfield Women's Club, and founder of Theos Group in Mayfield. Survivors include her son, Robert Arnold Hobbs and wife Pat Conner of Paducah, KY; daughter, Mignon Hobbs Cole and husband Curtis of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Amanda Hobbs Craig, John Arnold Hobbs, Andrew C. and Aaron C. Cole; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild; and sister-in-laws, Juanita Bogle and Hilda Bogle, both of Milburn, KY. She was predeceased by two brothers, William C. Bogle and Douglas Bogle. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2012, in Mayfield, KY, by Byrn Funeral Home.
